| Apparently if your toddler bites their tongue and blood is gushing out of it a spoon full of sugar is supposed to stop the bleeding.
I don't care if you're Mary Poppins...Are you nuts?!! Give a spoon full of sugar to a 2yr old?!
I used to be afraid of kids. I will admit it. I also used to be afraid of that nasty stuff that custodians use to coverup throw-up. One whiff of that stuff will curb anyone's appetite for any practice that might lead to producing a child.
I am not sure when my pedophobia gave way to wiping away blood, cleaning up throwup and sitting through endless princess costume changes, but I find myself surprised by the joy of doing it all.
I think I am officially in danger of becoming domestic. Good thing a spoonful of sugar helps the tongue stop bleeding. I need to make sure to amend Mary Poppins' earlier statement.

I love photography and I love to fly. So does Anna as you can see here. :)
Anna and her man. This was part of their engagement shoot. I wish this one was a bit sharper, but hey, it was quite by accident anyway.
I think that I love flying. I love it when my heart soars in joy and when God rocks the extent of my imagination so that I feel special and small all at the same time. I love capturing those moments that have magic and life. | | |
| Jesus? Stella? Jesus! Stella!

| The champagne flute dangled from her finger sparkling under the low light of the small office. "So I am not sure how you should take this or even if I should."
"Maybe you should consider telling me the truth."
She answered in a sultry voice, "well, then, the truth is what you shall have." She shifted in her chair pulling her platinum blonde hair over one shoulder and reached for her second refill of champagne. Her confidence unnerved me. I knew she was protecting someone. Her red dress was making it difficult for me to concentrate on the matter at hand. I nervously played with my suspenders under my jacket and fingered my holster.
"Some are of the opinion that you are a smart dame."
She smiled cooly as she held the flute to her lips. Dusk had come, electric lamps began to turn on casting a erie glow through the windows. The room was heavy with edgy suspense in anticipation of her secret. The moments crept by like the days I spent tracing a cold trail.
A sly smile eased its way onto the corners of her perfectly red lips, her eyes sparkling like the diamonds around her neck. I knew that her affections were bought with them, the mafia greats, particularly Steely Randolph, were notorious for their fine taste in ice.
"If I were a smart dame, I wouldn't be here." she leaned forward, her guard suddenly down and her confidence wavering. "I know about the turtle wax. I know that the black market is going to be making millions on those little animals, see. The sculptures in...well..." she looked around nervously, "HIS house are worth 6 figures apiece. You just gotta get someone on this Jack."
I sat back eyeing the telephone on the desk. I knew she was delivering her boss and her life into my hands. I had the power to bring him down. I got up from the desk poured myself a glass of scotch. The sip was bitter and satisfying.
"Stella, do you like pickles?"
"What are you talking about Jack?"
"You had better like pickles because my aunt is holds the record for the largest pickle ever won at the Harrisburg fair."
She stared at me blankly like a lost puppy, "I...I like pickles I guess."
"Good because my aunt is expecting you. You'll lay low there under Steely Randolph has stopped leaving people at the bottom of the bay in cement shoes and is in the slammer forever."
"Really? Jack, you would do this for me?"
I stood and moved towards the red lips and the dress that matched,"I love you Stella...I always have..."
At that moment, the windows exploded and shards of glass flew into the room. The black sedans outside unloaded round after round into my office.
"STEEELLLAAAA!"
The End

| Shameless Plug
Oh and...just an update. The last two weeks when one of our interns
comes in the office, she vomits...multiple times. I think I am
going to lose friends over this! School's almost over and then
you will be hearing much more from me. In fact, more than you
probably ever wanted to know!
